Leadership Skills Don't Matter Yet

During the early startup grind, leadership skills don't really matter.

Yep, I just said that.

Why?

Because at this early stage, it's all about making things happen and validating your ideas.

Fancy leadership is not something you need to worry about.

Here's the real priority for startup founders:

👉 Get shit done at all cost & survive long enough to matter.

Simple as that.

Your most critical tasks are simple:

✅ Validate a meaningful problem
✅ Find product/market fit
✅ Don’t run out of money

Your team should be so aligned with the overarching vision (your number one responsibility) that there’s not a lot of discussion needed around the details.

Your developer wants to use Python? Awesome. Great. Not meaningful. Your designer wants to use a specific grid system. Who fucking cares?

Your product manager wants you to launch a completely different product? Absolutely entertain the idea for ONE conversation, and if you’re not intrigued? Time to move on. Focus over flailing. Every. Single. Time.

You don't need planning meetings with Powerpoint slides - you need relentless action.

Advanced leadership comes later, once you have an executive team in place.

For now, channel ALL your energy into communicating the vision and driving progress each day.
