We live in a world where people use ChatGPT-based browser plugins to write LinkedIn comment spam.
It takes a little bit of the joy out of having a post go wide, because you start getting comments thanking you for your insightful post and then summarizing it back at you.
Real “uncanny valley” shit.
1) If there is an access point, people will spam it and overwhelm it. AI just makes it harder to filter.
2) the comments sound off. There’s something soulless about the writing, which you notice about comment three.
3) New rule: if you leave that comment crap on my posts, I will block and report you. And if your writing is so bland that it sounds like an AI wrote it, you are fair game too.
4) The robots have stolen the word “insights” (and “insightful”). It is theirs now. Choose something else.
